happy st. andrews day! (or: my first ceilidh)

November 30th, 2008 § 2 Comments

ceilidh is pronounced “kay-lee” for those of you USians, and is essentially a dance. somewhat like those dances you used to have in grade school, only with more kilts and less social embarrassment.  oh, and more alcohol.  which makes them pretty good fun, if you like dancing.  and because i have about 10 minutes to blog about this, so i’m going to show you my first ceilidh (last night at st. andrews in the square) in pictures, rather than words.

Looks like so much fun! I went to a ton of ceilidhs when I was at St. Andrews…great (drunken) times.

  • dimensha says:

absolutely! i only wish i would have drunk more beforehand so i would have had the nerve to dance more than i did. (although of the two dances i did, i think i managed to step on every single persons’ feet.)
